Prior to Deloitte, Fersht was the vice president of the BPO Practice at Everest Group . He has also held senior positions with outsourcing specialists NelsonHall and EquaTerra. Earlier, he founded Yankee Group's BPO consulting and advisory practice, and served as vice president of global IT services and outsourcing. He started his BPO career at IDC, where he eventually led the regional Asia/Pacific consulting and research practices, and was a consulting director for IDC's global software practice.
Fersht is a frequent author and speaker on finance, accounting, and IT and HR outsourcing trends. He was named both an "FAO" and an "HRO Superstar" by FAOToday and HROToday magazines for 2005, 2006 and 2007, and was featured in the December 2006 issue of FAOToday as one of the outsourcing industry's most prominent advisors. He speaks regularly at industry conferences.
He publishes a personal blog on outsourcing, addressing a wide range of enterprise sourcing topics, including outsourcing, offshoring and shared services.
Phil Ferst holds a B.S. with honors in European business and technology from Coventry University, UK, and a diplome universitaire de technologie in business and technology from the University of Grenoble, France.
