Peter Burris has been a leading IT industry analyst for nearly two decades. His expertise spans multiple IT domains, including IT infrastructure design and implementation, application development and sourcing, and the relationship between business value and information technology.
During his professional career in the research business, Mr. Burris has co-founded several startups, including Appergy and Wikibon. He also served as CEO and President of META Group's dotcom subsidiary, a Vice President and Analyst at META Group, and a Research Director at both META Group and IDC.
David Vellante, co-founder of Wikibon, commented on Mr. Burris' role there. "We're grateful for Peter's contributions and welcome his future participation -- because Wikibon is an open source community we don't exclude anyone who works at traditional firms. In fact, we recently had a Peer Incite where some IDC folks participated."
Mr. Vellante said that Wikibon continues to grow by all measures, including registrations, site traffic, content, pageviews, and expertise. An enhanced site and new features are in the works.
