Analysys Mason Group convenes inaugural Experts' Panel

Analysys Mason Group held the inaugural meeting of its Experts' Panel last week in Washington, DC. Discussion topics included regulatory policies and net neutrality, loop unbundling for copper and fiber, public policies designed to promote the openness of mobile networks, and the impacts of rapidly growing online services platforms on fixed and mobile networks.

Proceedings of the Experts’ Panel session will be posted on the Analysys Mason Web site later this month.

Analysys Mason describes the Experts’ Panel as an important part of its efforts to maintain its intellectual edge as a leading supplier of global consulting services and market intelligence in telecommunications and media. The panel will meet twice each year.

The Experts' Panel matches industry thought leaders from education, equity research and industry with Analysys Mason research and consulting leaders. As of this posting, guest panel members are Prof. David Farber, Prof. Andrew Odlyzko, Prof. Gerald Faulhaber, Carlyle Group's Duncan Lewis, New Street Research's Andrew Entwistle, and Lex Felker, formerly with AOL Time Warner and the FCC.

Current Analysys Mason Group participants on the Experts' Panel are Simon Jones, Chief Executive Officer, Analysys Mason Group; Tony Lavender, Managing Director, Analysys Research; Andrew Wright, Managing Director, Analysys Consulting; Michael Kende, Principal Consultant and Head of U.S. Office, Analysys Consulting; and Jeff Rohlfs and Chip Shooshan, both Principal Consultants, Analysys Consulting.

The Experts' Panel will meet twice a year. Analysys Mason Group plans to add more members over time.
