In 2007, Brown-Wilson Group – which authors The Black Book of Outsourcing – conducted a survey among more than 100,000 C-level officers and other executives to gain a buy-side decision-maker perspective on the global services industry. After a stringent external auditing process, the responses of nearly 20,000 buyer executives determined the 2007 Black Book of Outsourcing rankings.
According to Douglas Brown, Managing Partner, Brown-Wilson Group and co-author of The Black Book of Outsourcing, "EquaTerra, the top ranking Full Service Outsourcing and Offshoring Advisor in 2007, has earned the lead position due to its continuous focus on educating current and prospective buyers on how to evaluate internal IT and business processes, and successfully engage and manage outsourcing relationships. EquaTerra’s advisors, who are recognized industry leaders in all business support functions, quickly help clients sort through the complexity that exists in this dynamic market. One of the firm’s key differentiators is its focus beyond the transaction by empowering its clients with the 29 outsourcing governance best practices recognized for helping reduce costs and better manage outsourcing relationships."
The top Full Service Outsourcing/Offshoring Advisor ranking is based on a number of factors including client satisfaction with senior management direction, advisor impact of outsourcing results, business transformation practices, client relations, and indicators of consultant practice breadth, innovation, and implementation.
Said Mark Toon, EquaTerra’s CEO, "We are extremely honored to have received these rankings from our clients and the overall marketplace. They confirm our belief that clients looking to drive sustainable results across their organization place high value on a firm whose advisors can directly apply their buy-side, service provider and consulting backgrounds and expertise to help them achieve their goals at any stage of their improvement journey."
An article discussing the 2007 Black Book of Outsourcing rankings will appear in the Wall Street Journal Online (www.wsj.com) later today.
