RedMonk has tapped Anne Zelenka as an industry analyst. Ms. Zelenka will maintain a broad technology focus with an emphasis on helping enterprises and vendors drive rich user experiences into their existing infrastructures as well as platform decisions. Her focus includes enterprise applications, social media in the enterprise, web development tools, and service architectures.

Ms. Zelenka is the second analyst to join RedMonk this year. Michael Coté joined in February as an enterprise software analyst.

James Governor, RedMonk founder and analyst, said in his MonkChips blog, "Anne will be helping to deepen our coverage in some key areas -- particularly Rich Internet Applications and Rich Client Platforms. The limitations of pure online and pure offline are becoming clearer all the time, just as the boundaries between consumer versus enterprise, and so on, continue to dissolve."

Prior to joining RedMonk, Ms. Zelenka developed a reputation as a respected technology blogger through her blog, Anne 2.0, and posts at Web Worker Daily. She has launched a new, technology-focused RedMonk blog, tech decentral, and will continue publishing Anne 2.0 as her personal blog.

Ms. Zelenka has been involved in the software industry for several years. Most recently, she was with Oracle in financial applications development. She built a team that consolidated the customer management capability across all the Oracle enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management applications for the 11i applications release. Earlier, she worked for a small defense contractor, building knowledge base systems on Unix using C++ and a variety of object-oriented and relational database management systems. She also worked at a startup developing natural hazard risk analysis systems on Microsoft Windows.

Anne Zelenka holds a bachelor’s in Economics and Philosophy and a master’s in Statistics from Stanford University. She is based in Colorado, USA.
