Consumer demand for connected CE devices, 3D content, storage and support services are among the hot topics industry analysts from Parks Associates will address during multiple speaking engagements at the 2010 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and the 2010 CONNECTIONS(TM) Summit.
Parks Associates will host the fourth-annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit: Monetizing Connectivity in the Home on January 7, the first day of CES. The analysts will also participate at Digital Media Insider, Digital Health Summit, and Digital Hollywood on January 8 and 9.
“We are watching multiple new trends in consumer electronics, video services and advertising, home systems/energy management, and mobile services and convergence, but the most significant trend in the CE industry is enhanced connectivity, with tens of millions of devices now able to connect to online content and services. CES will showcase Web-connected CE in many form factors, from televisions to Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and receivers,” said Kurt Scherf, Vice President and Principal Analyst, Parks Associates. “Parks Associates research shows worldwide annual sales of Web-connected CE will exceed 200 million in 2013.”
CONNECTIONS™ Summit will kick off CES on Thursday, January 7. The Summit will feature interactive panels with over 20 leading technology companies including IBM, Yahoo!, and Sony. Executives will discuss business strategies for service providers, status of energy management deployment and adoption, and the changing CE purchase patterns for consumers.
