IDC Insights, a group of industry-specific research and advisory services, is launching online communities for better discussion and engagement with its Manufacturing Insights and Retail Insights clients.
In the spirit of social networking, the goal of the community is to create a forum for IT and business professionals to discuss technology issues within the context of their business.
Specifically, the analysts with IDC Manufacturing and Retail Insights will look to tackle pressing trends including: Automotive Industry Future, Cloud Computing, Customer Experience, Future Factories, M2M, Retail PLM and Sourcing, Sustainability and Supply Chain Risk.
The manufacturing and retail communities will feature:
Members will be invited to participate in blog discussions, forums and polls, learn about and share best practices, tips, tricks and tools related to business/technology alignment, network with colleagues and provide feedback to IDC analysts and peers.
IDC analysts will regularly contribute content including blog posts, forum discussions and generate questions for the community members to discuss. In keeping with IDC Insights' unique value proposition, the communities will address IT issues within the context of an industry's business. IDC analysts worldwide will participate in the community, ensuring the content will be global in nature.
