The Gartner Information Security Summit 2009 and Gartner CISO Invitational Program will take place June 28 through July 1 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, Washington D.C.

The Gartner Information Security Summit will focus on which tools, technologies and management practices are needed to run a security operation that’s efficient, safe and economical. A team of Gartner analysts will explore the technologies critical to the network, offer guidance on keeping data and applications requirement-ready and secure, examine privacy policies and privacy protection tools and consider emerging trends and new Federal initiatives regarding cyberspace.

CISO Invitational Program

The Gartner CISO Invitational Program provides a forum for the exploration of key IT security issues for Chief information-security officers and Chief security officers as they step into a new role and leadership position within the IT organization.

Running concurrently with the Information Security Summit, the Invitational is open to 60 pre-qualified CISOs and security executives from large to midsized companies whose on-the-job experience is three years or less.
