Zachmann's research focus over the past decade has been on Web 2.0, social networking, software development platforms and tools, and the crucial emerging technologies of virtualization and virtual reality worlds. He actively participates in social networks such as Facebook and virtual worlds such as Second Life.
Wainhouse Research believes that as social networking crosses over from consumer to enterprise use, vendor and end user organizations need expert assistance evaluating opportunities, planning, picking the best products and services, and productively deploying the technology. The company expects Zachmann to enhance its coverage of ESN.

Will Zachmann is a graduate of Harvard College with graduate study at Harvard University.
