Strategy Analytics Expands Global Wireless Analyst Team

Strategy Analytics recently added 4 analysts to its Global Wireless practice, 2 based in the U.S. and 2 based in Asia. The staff expands research and client services in core wireless market segments such as mobile operator strategies, multimedia content strategies, emerging telecom markets, and user experience benchmarking.

According to David Kerr, Vice President, Global Wireless Practice, "The addition of four new consultants reaffirms our commitment to excellence in analysis and customer support at a time of significant disruption and downsizing in the wireless analyst business. We thank our clients for their continued support, which has made Strategy Analytics the leading wireless analyst firm providing global market and end user insights through workshops, consulting projects and syndicated services."

Susan Welsh de Grimaldo brings over 13 years' experience in telecommunications, and will provide expanded coverage of US wireless network operators and mobile content strategies. Until recently, Susan was Strategic Business Development Manager at General Dynamics, where she conducted competitor, partner, customer and market analysis for commercial and public safety wireless and international IT services.

After nine years in R&D at Motorola, Chris Schreiner will provide expanded coverage of usability, ethnographic and prototype research for the Strategy Analytics User Laboratory team based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Chris is experienced across the broad spectrum of human factors methodologies, from quantitative, rigorous experimental studies to ethnographic research.

Thomas Kang brings eight years of wireless industry experience to Strategy Analytics. Thomas worked for LG Electronics in Seoul, and LG Infocomm, which was the predecessor of the Handset Division for LG Electronics. Tom joins the premier Wireless Device Strategies team and is based in Seoul, Korea.

Rahul Gupta joins the expanded Emerging Market Communications team as Manager in India. Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Rahul was responsible for executing and managing BDA's India Wireless and Handset Advisory Services. Rahul will provide expanded coverage of 3G licensing outlook, mobile distribution channels, and M&A activity in the Asian telecoms markets.
